2009 PROGRAMME
Well what a great trip!
The first day was a cold 21 degrees but then the temperature rose during the
week to 29 with flat calm seas and no currents!
Congratulations to Gary & Sharon and Paul & Lisa for completing Rescue Diver
and John for Nitrox diver. One the most amazing things was that although there
were some boats on the sites we only saw two divers underwater on the Kingston
and four at Ras Um Sid in the entire week! All the wrecks with no other divers.
The first day saw us diving Ras Ghalzini with two turtles, the Dunraven and
Beacon Rock after a quick check out at Ras Kati. The next day we were at Shark
Reef, Shark Observatory and Sting Ray Station with four large napoleons. Day
three found us on the Thistlegorm with no other divers! Onto the Kingston
with stunning fish life a great pretty dive and then we moved across to Abu
Nuhas and the Giannis D. On the way to dive the Tile wreck in the morning
we took an unscheduled dive when dolphins came by and we were able to swim
with them underwater. I'm still waiting for the photos from Alan! We then
dived the Carnatic and moved back to the alternatives overnight. The next
day we dived from Shark Observatory to Anemone city and then on a second dive
from anemone city to shark reef we were escorted by two turtles.
Ocean Dream has a new chef and he is excellent not only are the meals outstanding
but afternoon snacks included hot pop corn, apple pie, cakes, cheese on toast
with peppers and doughnuts. We plan to return on 20 September so hurry
to join us!
