Esential Information

This information is provided to give you assistance in planning your trip. Please note our prices do not include flights. It is important that you book your group ahead as not only will the price increase nearer the departure date but also there may be limited availability.

Money. You will need very little cash on board. Soft drinks and water are included in your trip, however alcohol is normally charged on an honesty system payable at the end of the trip and a tip for the crew if appropriate. Tips are split between the crew of eight and typically 5 to 10% of the cruise cost.

Insurance: Please make sure you have insurance that covers travel arrangements and diving. Health & Safety Requirements can and do change; please refer to your GP or vaccination centre for the most up to date advise. Medical Requirements: All passengers scuba diving whilst on holiday will be required to complete a medical questionnaire. If the operator is in any way unsure of your fitness to dive, you will be required to undergo a medical examination. This may result in considerable extra cost for which you will be charged locally. No refunds will be given if you are refused medical clearance to dive. You are strongly advised to undergo a full medical examination before booking your holiday, and you must do so if you reply in the positive to any of the questions in the PADI Medical statement.

Visas: Non-British passport holders may require a full Egyptian entry Visa from the Egyptian Embassy. Tel 0207 235 9777. British Passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Egypt for £12. You do require this visa as you will be diving outside of the local area. Please note your passport must valid for at least 6 months after the trip returns.

Six Day cruises. For six-day cruise bookings the last night is in a hotel booked by us but late checkout must be arranged if you require by yourself. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Equipment. You will need a full set of diving equipment. Tank and weights are the only equipment provided by the boat and included in the cost of your cruise. You will need a mask, fins and snorkel, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, dive computer or the PADI wheel dive tables. Diving in the Red Sea usually follows a multilevel profile, square profile tables are therefore not appropriate. There are charging facilities available for lights and cameras, standard 220/240 volts. The sockets are continental 2 pin, so UK plugs will require an adapter. Tanks are aluminium 12 litres

Certification. Please bring with you your diving certification card and logbook.
